Artist's Description

A staged Old Hollywood-style photo at the Mission Inn. It depicts two villainous hooded shadow figures posing inside one of the Inn's haunted alcove where the photographer Craig Owens once saw his own shadow figure. Owens used to scoff at the shadow figure's existence. He doesn't scoff anymore. You can read about the real history of the Mission Inn and its paranormal history in his award-winning book HAUNTED BY HISTORY: SEPARATING THE FACTS AND LEGENDS OF EIGHT HISTORIC HOTELS AND INNS IN SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA.

About Sad Hill - Bizarre Los Angeles Archive

Sad Hill - Bizarre Los Angeles Archive

My name is Craig Owens, a photographer/blogger for the popular Facebook Page "Bizarre Los Angeles" and the author of the book, "Haunted by History Vol. 1," separating the facts and legends of eight historic, haunted hotels in Southern California. I have always been in love with Old Hollywood. I love it for its glamour, its style, its mythology and its decadence, which always seems to be bubbling just below its surface. I'm a firm believer that its history should not be forgotten even if its architecture and carbon footprints are slowly being replaced.
