This "Dapper Dame" image brings gender-bending class and elegance to Craig Owens's Haunted by History photo shoots. This classic Hollywood-inspired photo taken at the Alexandria Hotel in downtown Los Angeles is a perfect homage to a more glamorous era. Owens actually shot this photo in "The Valentino Suite," one of the Alexandria's haunted areas.

Although the Alexandria Hotel is a well-known building and a historical landmark, its real history and ghost legends are either muddled, misleading or long neglected.
