Anna Held (19 March 1872 – 12 August 1918) was a Polish-French theatrical performer. After Broadway impresario Florenz Ziegfeld discovered her on the London stage, he arranged for her to come to the U.S. She became his common-law wife. From 1896 through 1910, she became a Broadway superstar, appearing in musical comedies. She was known for her hourglass figure and her flamboyant off-stage lifestyle.
