Description
Talk about gorgeous! You'll love this Paramount on Parade image!
This stunning poster shows three Hollywood chorus girls standing over a large reflection of themselves!
Paramount on Parade became one of those splashy, all-star variety sketch musicals the studios used to make when the talking picture started gaining popularity. Paramount Studios released this particular film on April 22, 1930. It features 20 different segments— some of them in an early two-color Technicolor format. The movie also provided work for 11 directors and most of the stars on the Paramount roster.
Needless to say, scores of chorus girls rounded out the production, providing visual eye candy for the audience! Oftentimes, they wore risque costumes reminiscent of the large vaudeville productions in New York City.
Did you know that Paramount created a French, Romanian, Dutch and Scandinavian language version of the film as well? Sadly, the entire film has not survived and several sequences are still considered lost.
